The billboard truck that plagued Gaston Browne on his visit to Washington earlier this month has reappeared.

It is back at the Organisation of American States (OAS) headquarters as former Suriname Foreign Minister Albert Ramdin is sworn in as Secretary General.

On the side of the truck is a smiling Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping, in a one-piece swimsuit that says, “OAS – I own it now.”

The truck refers to Ramdin’s reputation as a tool for Beijing within CARICOM. Gaston Browne was one of Ramdin’s main allies in rounding up CARICOM votes.

As before, the sides of the truck say, “Join Gastron’s OAS Chinaribbean Cruise,” a reference to the upcoming June 25-27 OAS General Assembly in Antigua. This time, it adds, “A Xi Jinping – Albert Ramdin Production” and features “www.QueenMariaBrowne.com,” with links to this website.

The back panel of the truck shows Xi Jinping, still waving in his onesie, in front of the OAS building. Hanging from the bronze statue of Queen Isabela of Spain is a mock sign that says, “WARNING – UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP.”

Above Xi Jinping’s head, a caption reads, “Join my crew in Antigua – Albert & Gaston – All bought & paid for.”
